Photography

I developed a huge passion for photography during the Pandemic. As someone who was isolated before we were all forced to isolate and becoming agoraphobic like many of us were, I began to go outside for ten minute walks every day. I enjoyed taking pictures since I got Instagram circa ~2011, but 2021 is when I really began to develop a Passion.

I started taking pictures on my walks of whatever caught my eye and soon developed an intense love of capturing the trees and sky, along with the moon, powerlines, and angles. All of my earlier photographs are landscape-oriented, while my newer photos are portrait-oriented as my lens of the world has shifted. In reviewing my older style, I'd love to bring in a balance of both. :)

My pictures have been described as Liminal, which is a high compliment I felt grateful to receive. I had never thought of them that way before, but looking at them, I would agree!! I am often walking around on my own when I'm taking photos, so perhaps this feeling of Liminality within me is what often wants to be Expressed.
